Yes, reputable trading platforms operating in Singapore are regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Regulation helps ensure proper risk management, transparency, and the segregation of client funds from company assets. It's crucial to verify a platform's regulatory status on the MAS website before trading to avoid scams.
Most trading platforms allow Singapore investors to access:
- Singapore shares listed on SGX
- US and global shares
- ETFs and REITs
This enables investors to diversify locally and globally from a single account.
Fees vary by platform but typically include:
- Brokerage or commission fees per trade
- Foreign exchange (FX) conversion fees for overseas markets
- Platform or custody fees (if applicable)

The bank account you use to fund your account will be automatically linked as your default external bank account for withdrawal of funds, provided that the bank account details match with the details of your Averion Invest account. You can fund your JPM Cash Account via two ways.
It is important that when you transfer funds into your Cash Account that you reference the transfer with your Cash Account number and indicate Recipient Name as: "Averion Markets Singapore Invest Pte. Ltd.".
Fast Transfer
- Limited to S$200,000 per transfer.
- Deposits by FAST will typically appear on your account within 10-20 minutes after the transaction is verified.
ACH Transfer
- An ACH transfer is an electronic funds transfer.
- Deposits by ACH may take between 1 to 3 business days after the transaction is verified.
- Clients may deposit more than S$200,000 per transfer.
Please note that we do not charge any fees for deposit or withdrawal of funds.
Please note: The bank account you used to fund your Cash Account is automatically linked as your default external bank account for withdrawal of funds, provided that the bank account details matched the details of your Averion Invest account.
You will only be able to withdraw after we have linked your external bank account to your JPM cash account which takes up to 1 working day from the first day of funding.
How to withdraw funds
- Select 'Transfer funds' from the 'Account' menu.
- Enter the amount you wish to transfer from the trading account you require.
- Enter your Trading PIN and click 'Request Transfer' to initiate the fund transfer request. The withdrawal request will take 1-2 working days.
